Tournament/League Format:

The 2026 Keefe Kup - Saturday May 16 – 9:00 Shotgun Start

This NEW Event is named in honor of our recently retired Golf Course Superintendent, Larry Keefe. We appreciate his many years of dedicated service to WGC as well as your patronage. The event will be held annually in May serving as our season opening celebration. This is informal and fun golf with BBQ Luncheon, Golf Carts and On Course Contest Prizes all included for a modest entry fee.  

Entry Fee –  Open to first 100 people to Enter -  Deadline 5/9:
Open to all Men and Women WGC Members. Players register for the event as individuals and will be placed on a mixed team of four in equity based on handicap index.
$15 per person. Yes…. It really is only $15!

Mixed Shamble Format:
Each person on the team will rotate every six holes with a new partner creating 2 teams of two players within the team of four.
Each Two-person team will play a SHAMBLE - Both players tee off, select best tee shot, then play their own ball from there.
The Four Person Team Score is the combined best scores from each two-person team.

Tees:
Women play Green Tees.
Men play White Tees – 70 and up play Gold Tees.

Awards:
The winning team will be presented with The KEEFE KUP!
Awesome Prizes for Closest to the Pins, Longest Drives and other Fun on Course Contests.
Record and ACE on any of our Par 3’s and win a 2027 Complimentary Membership!

BBQ Luncheon Buffet served after golf:
Vermont BBQ Pulled Pork - Slow roasted pulled pork with Maple BBQ Sauce, Buns and Coleslaw for topping.
Rotisserie Pulled Chicken - Smothered in a mild Buffalo/Ranch/BBQ Sauce, Buns and Blue Cheese Crumbles for topping.
Boston Baked Franks and Beans - Mom's Beans with Mini Dogs, Peppers and Onions.
Tex Mex Corn - Butter Boiled Creamed Corn with Tomato/Jalapeno Salsa and Cotija Cheese
Loaded Potato Salad, Chef's Pasta Salad, Marinated Cucumber / Tomato Salad.
Assorted Desserts from Madeleines Bakery!
